Agreement to Terms
By using getoryxnow.com or any Oryx Property Services application or service ("Platform"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
What Oryx Provides
Oryx Property Services is a subscription-based platform that provides:
- —Professional property inspection and documentation
- —Secure digital storage of property photos, documents, permits, warranties, and records ("Property Vault")
- —Automated weather event monitoring and storm logging
- —Guided insurance claim filing assistance (educational and organizational tools — not advocacy or negotiation)
- —Evidence package compilation and export
- —Matching with vetted contractors through our Preferred Vendor network
- —General compliance and permit information based on your property's location
What Oryx Is Not
Read this section carefully. It defines the boundaries of our service.
Not an Insurance Company, Agent, or Adjuster
We do not sell insurance, negotiate claims, adjust claim values, or represent you before your insurance carrier. Our claim filing tools help you organize your documentation and understand the general process. All claim decisions are yours. For claim disputes or negotiations, consult a licensed public adjuster or attorney.
Not a General Contractor
We do not perform construction, repairs, or any physical labor. When we match you with a contractor from our Preferred Vendor network, that contractor is an independent licensed business. They perform the work under their own license and insurance. Any service agreement for repair work is between you and the contractor directly.
Not a Law Firm
Nothing on this Platform constitutes legal advice. Consult a licensed attorney for legal questions.
Does Not Handle Insurance Proceeds
We do not receive, hold, process, or manage insurance claim payments. All financial transactions related to your insurance claim and property repairs are between you, your insurance carrier, and your contractor. Oryx is not a party to those transactions.
Not Responsible for Third Parties
Contractors, adjusters, attorneys, insurance carriers, and any other third party you interact with through or as a result of our Platform are independent entities. Oryx verifies contractor credentials and collects quality reviews, but we do not employ, supervise, or control any third party's work, professional judgment, or conduct. Any dispute with a third party is between you and them.
Subscription and Payment

- —Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before renewal date

Your Data — You Own It
- —Photos, documents, and records you upload to your Property Vault are your property
- —You may export or download your complete vault data at any time in standard formats
- —You grant Oryx a limited license to use your data solely to deliver our services to you (compiling evidence packages, generating inspection reports, matching with contractors)
- —We will not use your property data for advertising without your explicit written consent

Contractor Matching
When you request a contractor match, Oryx connects you with a vetted professional from our Preferred Vendor network based on your location, service needs, and the contractor's credentials and availability.
Important things to understand:
- —The contractor is an independent business, not an Oryx employee
- —Oryx verifies licenses, insurance, and credentials before a contractor joins our network
- —Any agreement for repair or restoration work is between you and the contractor
- —Oryx does not guarantee the quality, timeliness, cost, or outcome of any contractor's work
- —Oryx does not set pricing for contractor services — pricing is between you and the contractor
- —Oryx does not receive any portion of your repair costs or insurance claim proceeds
- —If you have a dispute with a contractor, it is between you and them — Oryx may facilitate communication but is not a party to service disputes
Insurance Claim Filing Guidance
Our claim filing tools are educational and organizational. They help you:
- —Understand the general steps of the insurance claim process
- —Organize your documentation (photos, policy info, damage descriptions)
- —Compile your evidence package for export to your adjuster
- —Track claim details (claim number, dates, adjuster info) in your vault
These tools do NOT:
- —File claims on your behalf (you contact your insurance carrier directly)
- —Negotiate claim values or dispute adjuster findings
- —Provide advice on whether to accept or reject a claim offer
- —Replace the services of a licensed public adjuster or attorney
Weather Monitoring
Oryx uses third-party weather data (NWS, NOAA, commercial providers) for storm logging and alerts. This data is provided "as is." We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of weather information. Never rely solely on Oryx alerts for personal safety — always follow official emergency management guidance.
Compliance Information
Oryx may surface general information about permit requirements, licensing rules, and regulations relevant to your property's location. This is provided as a convenience and for general guidance only. It is not legal advice. Regulations vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. You and your service providers are responsible for verifying and complying with all applicable laws.
Property Inspections
Oryx inspections are visual and non-invasive. They document your property's condition at the time of inspection from accessible vantage points. Inspections are not a substitute for a licensed home inspection, structural engineering assessment, or specialty trade evaluation. Inspectors document what they observe — they do not diagnose structural issues or predict failures.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a US resident to use the Platform.
Account Security
You are responsible for your account credentials. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- —Provide false or misleading information
- —Use the Platform for insurance fraud or any illegal activity
- —Access other users' data or accounts
- —Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Platform
- —Upload content that infringes on third-party rights
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORYX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING:
- —Insurance claim outcomes (approval, denial, or payout amounts)
- —Contractor workmanship, pricing, delays, or disputes
- —Weather data inaccuracies or missed alerts
- —Compliance information that is incomplete or outdated
- —Decisions you make based on information from the Platform
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU PAID TO ORYX IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oryx, its officers, employees, and agents from claims arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Smith County, Texas, under AAA rules. You waive the right to a jury trial or class action. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court. Disputes between you and a contractor are between you and them and are not subject to this clause.
Governing Law
Governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Termination
We may suspend your account for Terms violations. You may terminate anytime. Request your vault data within 30 days of termination.
Changes
Material changes communicated via email or website notice at least 30 days before taking effect.
Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
